Men

Meeting the last Wednesday of every month, the men of GFC gather to study the scriptures, develop meaningful relationships, and exhort each other to grow in biblical manhood. We also encourage young men, beginning at age 12 to join us.

Typically we study a biblical book, moving verse-by-verse, allowing time for questions and discussion. We welcome all men who desire to learn more about what it means to follow Christ to join us. "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

Women

The women of GFC meet on the first Wednesday of each month to study God's word, grow in grace, and fellowship with onne another. Together the women nurture, encourage, and pray for each other to grow into conformity with Jesus. Young ladies are encouraged to come, starting at 12 years of age.

Typically we study a biblical book, moving verse-by-verse, allowing time for questions and discussion. We welcome women who desire a deeper walk with Christ to join us. "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:30)

Grace Groups

At GFC we have ongoing small groups to equip the body and foster deeper relationships. They are places where the truth of Scripture is applied, and counsel, care and edification is given. Our small groups study together, share together, eat together and pray together. We pray these times would reflect the heart of the early church:

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42–47)

Youth and Children

At GFC, we emphasize the importance of training moms and dads as the primary disciplers of their children (please see our about us page for more information). The task of discipleship can seem daunting, but we strive to equip and train parents to lead their families in worship. In the end, this is key to turning the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.

For more information on the relationship of "family integration" to the gospel, please read an article the elders have written, Family Integration and the Supremacy of the Gospel.

Outreach and Evangelism

God has commissioned us to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19-20). To that end, we seek to open our eyes to the harvest fields he has planted us in. We desire to equip and encourage God's people to show the love of Christ to their neighbors and communities in word and deed.

Corporately, we minister once a month at The Lakehouse on Dixie, a local assisted living facility, where we share the gospel, visit, and pray with the residents. We'd encouraged you to join us on the second Sunday of each month, from 2-3pm.
